Broke FMX Motocross Stunt Team
Rookie Bangers, 2L Saloons
It’s the Summer Season here at Skegness Raceway and its going to be another great night!
WE WELCOME BACK THE BROKE FMX TEAM FOR THEIR 14TH CONSECUTIVE SUMMER SEASON AT SKEGNESS RACEWAY.
Their tricks and jumps are a firm crowd favourite and we expect to see some new items in their shows for 2024.
Broke FMX can be seen at events and exhibitions the length and breadth of the UK and often drive through the night to get from one display to another.
The team was formed by John Pearson who stands at 6ft 4in which makes many of his stunts even more remarkable. John is now 37 years old but his performances get better and better as the years go by and he wasn’t even put off by a big crash at the last Summer show of our 2015 season which resulted in some painful injuries. His biggest jumps have been recorded at 180 feet high – he uses a CRF 450 Honda bike to power him to these heights. Watch out for his signature jump – the astonishing backflip!
The second rider is Josh Grindy who has been a multi champion and has been entertaining people all over the world!
In the second part of the shows, the riders will each perform a jump or trick and the crowd will be asked to vote by cheering for the most spectacular of the two riders each time. So make sure you are watching very carefully and make your feelings known!
The biggest enemies of the Broke FMX show are wind and rain. Wet weather makes both take-off and landing very slippery and can restrict what the guys are able to do. Because the riders jump higher than the roof of the grandstand, gusts of wind can also blow the riders off course and cause them to miss the landing area altogether. This was the cause of the crash in 2015 and it is vital that the riders jump directly into the wind to stay on course. You’ll see John testing the wind direction at the start of each performance so please bear with us if the ramps have to be adjusted before we can start the action. It may take a few minutes but guarantees that we get the best show possible in the
Racing Tonight are two action packed formulas, the Metal crunching 2L Saloon Stock Cara and Rookie Bangers.
